Users have been reporting the update hitting their device, although AT&T aren’t specifically saying the Galaxy S8 Active rollout has begun.
- Samsung Galaxy Note 9 could launch earlier than expected
- Android Oreo hitting T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note 8 today
- New Google Play Store version 9.4.18 released [APK Download]
It seems Samsung have been busy with the Oreo updates as the Galaxy Note 8 is also getting the update treatment. The S8 Active hasn’t had as much of a wait as other devices but given Samsung seem busy updating its lineup, it doesn’t seem a surprise.
There’s no word on the T-Mobile or Sprint variants of the S8 Active will get Android Oreo but it shouldn’t be too long before they begin to see the update too.
The update should automatically be pushed to your device when its available. Alternatively, if you own the AT&T Galaxy S8 Active, you can see if Oreo is available by tapping the Download updates manually option in the Settings » Software update menu on the phone. The update is around 1.2 GB in size, carries build number G892AUCU2BRC5, and includes the March 2018 security patch.
